During this religious observance, the facilitators introduce the role of mantras in the meditative prayer tradition, explain the Roman Catholic understanding of the role of Mary, and describe the method of using rosary beads in devotional prayer to her. After that brief introduction, participants are invited to silently observe or join in the praying of the rosary.
