The 2023 award winners of the Global Ethic essay writing contest organized by the Parliament of the World’s Religions share their essays and answer questions about what they wrote. The contestants explored the Parliament’s signature document since 1993, Toward a Global Ethic (An Initial Declaration), also known as the Global Ethic. This widely collaborative document expresses the basic moral commitments shared by the world’s people, religious or not.
