Mobile Phone Photography & Interfaith Engagement

Interfaith Photovoice uses mobile phone photography for interfaith engagement. We help participants use their own photographs to share about their lived experiences of religion and spirituality. Through this process, they learn about one another’s religious and spiritual practices, build relationships, and identify opportunities for collaboration. For this session, you are invited to snap 2-3 photos you can use to share about your beliefs and practices. Do you have a daily practice like prayer or meditation? Do you experience the divine in nature or a sacred place? Do your beliefs show up in what you eat or the clothes you wear? Whatever your beliefs or practices are, choose one and compose 2-3 photos. During our session, you share your photos and tell the stories behind them. As you learn about the beliefs and practices of others, you also learn about Interfaith Photovoice. Bring the photos on your mobile device or print them out, whatever is easiest for you.
