Palestinian Human Rights: A Jewish, Christian, and Muslim Perspective
Session Description:
Interfaith cooperation and understanding must be based on respect and an acknowledgment of equal human rights for all. Supporters of oppressive policies toward Palestinians sometimes use interfaith forums and alliances to silence discussion about Palestinian human rights and how it is violated. Faith leaders guided by ethics and conscience must work together to find solutions for a lasting peace in the region and for the safeguarding of the human rights of Palestinian people. Recognition of this injustice is the first step toward concrete action to bring forth peace, defend freedom and promote human rights. Presenters discuss their views of the current situation and offer solutions for a lasting peace that can benefit both Muslims and Jewish people living in the area for centuries.
