Peace Through the Arts

Session Description:

The very colorful, vibrant acrylics in this exhibit transports us to a world where peace, hope, love, and oneness are no longer a dream, but a living reality. Sri Chinmoy called his art “Jharna-Kala”, Bengali for “Fountain-Art”, in that it flew spontaneously from his heart, in a pouring forth of creative energy. “When it is a matter of my paintings, there is no mind, no form. It is all fountain-heart; the fountain is constantly flowing.” Through his art, he aspired to bring peaceful co-existence and delightful harmony to the viewer. His paintings, which range in size from tiny ink sketches to mural-size acrylics, have been exhibited worldwide. His copious production includes over 140,000 acrylics and 16,000,000 soul-bird drawings.
