Rebel Women of India

Session Description:

Down the ages history has provided us with glorious examples of the Rebel Women of India. Women who had the courage of their convictions. This is a humble attempt to portray the inner turmoil of the self which helps to enlighten the immense potentialities within. In this session, five important women figures have been selected: Maitreyi, Rizya Sulan, Rani Laxmi bai of Jhansi, Meera Bai, and Sister Nibedita. The dance-drama “Rebel Women of India” illustrates the fight of women from the Vedic Age to modern times. To stand on their feet and be free! Physical freedom, mental freedom, and spiritual freedom are the watch words of the Upanishad according to none other than Swami Vivekananda.
