Receiving and Answering the Call

Session Description:

Do we hear the cries of the world? Are we truly aware of the suffering of others? Challenges we face as global citizens are reflected in each moment of our lives: loss of civility, hateful rhetoric and actions, a refusal to listen to one another as fear and anger fuel an individualism that takes center stage. Human rights are basic to every person. Our words and actions have consequences. Receiving the call, a deep knowing for the common good, reveals we are all interconnected, and serving the individual serves the collective. Our session explores varying perspectives on how we live into our humanity as we hear and answer the call, form conscience, consider what makes us resilient, and take action to care for one another through religious practices and service.
