Restoring Earth and Restoring People: Cooperating across Regions & Difference

The United Religions Initiative (URI) is an international network of interfaith groups, called Cooperation Circles (CCs). Around the world, CCs are finding ways to embody their religious teachings or indigenous lifeways to create justice, peace, and healing. This session features several URI CCs and the projects they are doing together, across geography, ecosystems, politics, and beliefs. Every project honors and celebrates the very real benefits of caring for humans while also caring for Earth. When Earth is restored, humans are too. Projects featured include a women’s mango grove in Kolkata, India; partnering with Indigenous nations in the North and South; animal welfare; and economic models that are in the right relationship with ecology.
