CANCELLED: “Rumi: The Way of the Heart,” A Performance of the Ecstatic Poetry

“Rumi: The Way of the Heart,” is a performance of ecstatic poetry and sacred Sufi teaching stories, creating a fusion of poetry, music, dance, and whirling. Rumi transcends boundaries, cultural identities, and political differences while illuminating our shared human experience in the quest of the Divine. It is our innate human right to have the freedom to choose how we worship and hold hands in our shared vision of hope. Rumi reaches across the centuries and inspires us to rise to our highest potential. This performance is a theatrical presentation of the Sema, a ceremony of remembrance and inner attunement where we listen deeply through an open-heart space. It depicts the seeker’s spiritual journey from a state of longing to an all-inclusive proclamation of God’s greatness.
