Serendipity: The Joy of Anti-Nuclear Weapons Work

After the bombings of Hiroshima and Nagasaki in 1945, the threat of annihilation through the use of nuclear weapons has been an ever-present challenge for humankind and our human rights. With the “Doomsday Clock” inching ever more closely to midnight, a renewed urgency has galvanized action toward the elimination of nuclear weapons. The depth of the crisis requires proportionate spiritual grounding to achieve fundamental change. The Grassroots Advocacy Team of VOICES for a World Free of Nuclear Weapons embraces through story, video, and conversation the joy of spiritual activism as fuel for the long haul. Four interfaith advocates discuss the keys to seizing the opportunity to work toward an alternative path to peace. Mindful of the Hibakusha, we join our hope to theirs in asserting that all of us can contribute to change. VOICES is a Cooperation Circle of the United Religions Initiative (URI).
