Seven Lessons on Human Rights from the Life of Prophet Muhammad

Session Description:

Human rights and their violations are a concern for humanity. Several issues faced in our contemporary world were also encountered in the 7th century by Prophet Muhammad. These violations in the 7th century include systemic racism, discrimination based on tribe and culture, oppression of women, religious intolerance, female infanticide, etc. Faced with these challenges, as a youth, the Prophet worked with people of all backgrounds, races, tribes, and nationalities to identify and abolish the above atrocious practices. As a Prophet, from age 40 until he passed away at age 63, he stood up for the rights of the minorities, women, enslaved people, Jews of Madinah, and any downtrodden in the society.
