This four-member session discusses the Sikh journey from Punjab, India to the United States, Canada, and Europe. The moderator provides a background of significant events that the community endured. Comparisons are drawn between how journeys between the countries varied, the familial approach to migration, detailed accounts of labor relations issues, and different community responses. Presenters outline how the democratic and legal frameworks of these countries enabled the Sikh community to challenge unaccommodating frameworks.
