Kumkum Archana is a puja or worship of the Divine Goddess with Kumkum, a red powder made with turmeric and slaked lime and to attract protective and positive energies. The Hindu mother goddess is the supreme female energy and creative power in the universe. The ceremony itself is very cleansing for the individual and environment and helps to remove obstacles and negativity and increases prosperity, peace, and inner knowledge. Each participant is provided with a plate of Kumkum, rice, and other items as offerings during the puja.
