The Global Ethic on Rights and Responsibilities
Session Description:
The Parliament’s Global Ethic document emphasizes the need to protect vulnerable groups and ensure that all people can live in dignity and freedom. It also commits to giving rights to people, but what are rights without responsibilities and morals? The more moral we act, the more we can speak of freedom, both for ourselves and others. The more responsible we are, the more rights people will have. This session further explores the importance of rights, responsibilities, and morals while using case studies in moral decision-making to help local communities in grappling with concerns for human well-being and for a sustainable environment.
