The Medicine and Sacred Practice of Genuine Peace and Reconciliation
Session Description:
Involving growth and evolution, relationships are often characterized by rupture and repair. In order for repair and healing to be achieved, genuine peace and reconciliation are required. Aware of this reality and necessity, for millennia, Indigenous peoples from many cultures have employed Sacred Ceremonies and practices to foster, maintain, and reestablish healthy, balanced relationships. This experiential session introduces the salient requirements and pragmatic practices for actual peace and reconciliation to be realized in our personal dealings with others as well as between nations and cultures, especially in relation to Indigenous justice and sovereignty in our modern world.
