The Other Side of Tolerance: Entering the Liminal Space of Devotional Friendship

Session Description:

An opportunity to explore spiritual permeability as an ongoing element of personal and communal faith formation, a practicum in overcoming the hard boundaries that impede collaboration between religious traditions, especially on environmental and human rights issues. Participants learn to apply teachings of their home traditions to support this orientation around the primacy of planetary ecological needs, the nurturance of a healthy spiritual ecology, and the experiential exploration of alternative traditions. The session design invites commitment to dialogues of devoutness in service to a hospitable planet sustaining the human rights of all its inhabitants and respect for our planetary siblings of all species.
