The Science of Polarization: Understanding What Drives Us Apart to Bring Us Together

Session Description:

Today’s faith leaders now face new challenges as they seek to navigate today’s fault lines. How can we as leaders advocate to change the negative narratives and build unity within our congregations and communities in times of division? Join us for this training session as we explore leadership in divided times. We begin with big questions like “What does science have to teach us about why we are so divided?” and move to pointed and practical questions like “How can two people have a real conversation about their disagreements?” Our hope is that we can start building a global society that is more resilient to toxic forms of division and ready to address problems in our local context.
