Threats to Pluralism and Religious Liberty in North America
Session Description:
For several decades, we have witnessed a dangerous wave of faith-based nationalism circling the globe, revealing itself among the fringe elements of various communities. As representatives of the North American Interfaith Network (NAIN), our session focuses on this global rise of faith-based nationalism through the lens of communities in North America. The session consists of four presenters, each of whom reports on a case study from a different location on the continent. Through these case studies, we seek to answer: What is the state of pluralism and religious liberty in North America? What can we do to preserve them?
