Towards a New Global Ethics: Indigenous Perspectives
Session Description:
The World Union of Indigenous Spiritual Practitioners (WUISP) invites you to the session focused on new global ethics. Indigenous cultures around the world, as diverse as they are, have some shared understanding, perspectives, and ways to achieve the “Altyn Door,” a new era defined, at its deepest level, by a fundamental change in our ways of thinking, conduct, and being on this Earth. The spiritual elders from five Indigenous nations share their views on the essential principles as the foundation of new global ethics: nature and the universe as a living conscious whole, reciprocity, spiritual interconnectedness, equality, collectivism, service to life, justice, intergenerational cultural and spiritual continuity, immutable responsibility for the guardianship of Mother Earth. Elders invite people who care about survival of the humankind and the planet, to rethink and practice these principles.
