Women’s Self-Care Immersion

Session Description:

Looking out for others comes naturally for most women. Self-care is trickier, even though a well-cared-for person can more effectively tend to family, community, and causes. This session draws on ayurveda, yoga, and holistic health to provide an experience of self-nurturing in a circle of others who identify as women. To open, each group member connects with one other attendee to finish the sentence “I feel content when. . .” Featured activities include: Know Your Dosha, Know Yourself, a self-awareness quiz (no wrong answers!) to determine one’s particular dosha or body/mind type; Customized Caring, an Activity to Nurture the Person You Really Are; and 12 Minutes to Bliss, a gentle yoga-and-meditation practice that can be recreated at any time. At the end, participants connect once again with their “buddy” from the start of the hour and finish the sentence “I feel content now because…”
