Yogic Meditation: Mysticism, Synchronicity, and the Physiology of Prayer
Session Description:
This session explores the universality of mysticism from the standpoint of Kriya yoga meditation. The focus is on the practical and theoretical aspects of the physiology of prayer from the standpoint of the Kriya yoga lineage of Lahiri Mahasaya and Paramahansa Yogananda, author of “Autobiography of a Yogi”. Kriya yoga is a lineage in the Raja yoga tradition. It is the meditation described by Patanjali in the yoga suturas. In this time of great division, mysticism, and prayer allow us to find a middle ground where duality loses its grip and the universal aspects of non-duality are able to bloom and en-lighten the path ahead. This session contains both experiential and didactic portions and focuses on the interfaith aspects of these topics, and provides a structured overview and an experience of yogic meditation.
