Spiritual Breakfast Gathering in MA Celebrates World Interfaith Harmony Week

January 28, 2019

The Parliament of the World’s Religions is a global partner of grassroots organizers in observing UN World Interfaith Harmony Week. The event Spiritual Breakfast Gathering is an official Parliament-affiliated celebration of the 2019 World Interfaith Harmony Week.
Our interfaith colleagues from the Spiritual Breakfast Club joins grassroots organizers from around the world in hosting a Parliament-affiliated celebration of World Interfaith Harmony Week.
On Saturday, February 2nd the Spiritual Breakfast Club will host the Spiritual Breakfast Gathering from 9:30 am to 11:30 am at the Newburyport Public Library located at 94 State St, Newburyport, MA.
The breakfast is free of cost and sponsored by the Spiritual Breakfast Club, a group of “…five people with different faith traditions who come together monthly over breakfast to support and share our journeys; when we’re together we seem to be more alike, and our differences only enhance us. We share our experience with others who are hungry for a place to explore and discuss their spiritual path in their life challenges (and hungry for breakfast!). We hope that from this they feel more connected to their spirituality and each other, and can create groups like this of their own.”
The celebration will provide attendees an opportunity to sit around a table, have a continental breakfast and hear, briefly, about the seven-year experiences of the Spiritual Breakfast Club members. The breakfast will be followed by an open, non-judgmental, discussion on spirituality as it relates to everyday life.
The event is open to the public and the hosts, “… hope people come away from the experience of having attended a Spiritual Breakfast with a greater understanding of what spirituality means to them, a sense of finding meaning in their connections to the world outside of themselves, a heightened awareness of how their spiritual path intersects with their day to day life, and a sense of community with others who explore these same issues.”
