Our City, Our History, Our Movement: Chicago Interfaith Fair Celebrates 10th Anniversary of UN WIHW

On Thursday, February 6, 2020 the Parliament of the World’s Religions is sponsoring the Chicago Interfaith Fair: Our City, Our History, Our Movement in commemoration of the 10th Anniversary of the United Nations World Interfaith Harmony Week. Interfaith organizations and communities of faith in the city are coming together for a full day of programming, art, exhibits and information tables.

This event is hosted in partnership with Interfaith Youth Core (IFYC), Faith In Place, OMNIA Institute for Contextual Leadership, Spiritual Playdate, the Niagara Foundation, United for Peace and Justice,  Hyde Park & Kenwood Interfaith Council, the Interreligious Institute at Chicago Theological Seminary(IRI), ARISE Chicago, and the Interfaith Community for Detained Immigrants. 
The fair will feature performances from the Redline Singers, Mandala Arts, the Baháʼí and Sikh community, and Ho Etsu Taiko in between formal programming from partners and community members.

Exhibits & Tables
 
The fair will feature an exhibit space featuring a display on the history of interfaith in the city, World Interfaith Harmony Week, the Faiths of Chicago poster series, the Goddess Banners Exhibit, and art and photos from the faith and interfaith movement.
 
The fair will also feature information tables in two areas. Area I features interfaith organizations in the city and Area II features individuals and communities of faith and spirituality from the Chicago community.
