Why Ramadan is Meaningful to this Atheist

In 2015, hate incidents against Muslims rose a shocking 67% over the previous year, the highest they’ve been in over a decade.
As Americans and as neighbors, it’s our responsibility to step up and show Muslims in our communities and around the country that we appreciate and support them.
Ramadan, an important holiday in Islam, is a celebration of charity, compassion, and mercy, three ideas we all value. Let’s show support and appreciate by rallying around the things we all believe in.
