World Health Organization Releases Recommendations for Religious Leaders and Faith-based Communities in Regards to COVID-19
On Tuesday, April 7th the World Health Organization (WHO) in partnership with the United Nations Population Fund (UNFPA) and the United Nations Interagency Task Force on Religion and Sustainable Development released the guiding document, Practical considerations and recommendations for religious leaders and faith-based communities in the context of COVID-19.
This document and risk assessment tool provides practical guidance and recommendations to support the special role of religious leaders, faith-based organizations, and faith communities in COVID-19 education, preparedness, and response.
The Parliament of the World’s Religions is a member of the Multi-faith Advisory Committee of the Interagency Task Force and invites our colleagues from faith and spiritual communities to read and share the recommendations from WHO with their respective communities.
