ING’s Interfaith Speakers Bureau: How to Host an Interfaith Panel in Your Community

Interfaith cooperation, essential for promoting freedom and human rights in today’s world, requires interfaith understanding. Since 2007, ING’s Interfaith Speakers Bureau (IFSB) has succeeded in building such understanding, bringing together Muslim, Christian, Jewish, Buddhist, and Hindu speakers on panels to present the basics of their faith and address questions on the role of religion in society today. The IFSB offers a model that local communities can easily follow. This session provides a concrete approach to building a successful IFSB in your community, leveraging the resources of faith congregations to promote interfaith dialogue and cooperation that builds mutual respect and peace amidst diversity.
