CANCELLED: Interfaith Peacemaking in South Asia: Diverse Perspectives

It is now over 75 years since the partition of South Asia by the British Empire. For several decades there was little, if any, communication between Indians and Pakistanis. With the rise of diaspora in the West from both countries, expansion of access to social media, and limited opportunities to visit each other’s country, the impact of national and religious boundaries dividing the two countries is diminishing. This panel highlights the work being done in Pakistan, India, and the Diaspora to heal these historic divides so the residents of South Asia can co-exist as friendly neighbors rather than as archrivals.
