Young People’s Leadership in South Asian American Faith Communities

This panel gathers several South Asian American faith leaders to discuss the promise and potential to their communities of the Parliament’s signature document since 1993, the “Global Ethic.” The discussion focuses on the challenges and resources of implementing the five basic moral commitments elaborated in the “Global Ethic” in diverse faith contexts, and on making the document more accessible to South Asian diaspora communities. The panelists address each of “The Global Ethic” commitments, drawing on their experiences and knowledge to explore ways that “The Global Ethic” can play a larger role in South Asian communities.
