Session Description:

Long ago, before the time when the indigenous peoples of this land suffered terrible atrocities, the Navajo Twin Prophets of old foretold of Their eventual return. In 1962, a small group of Navajos recognized that the Bahá’í Faith fulfilled their ancient prophecies and a Council Fire was planned to share this news with their relatives in the Navajo Nation. Expecting 100 guests, the First Native Bahá’í Council Fire, held between the Four Sacred Mountains in Pine Springs, AZ, attracted almost 1,000 people from the Four Corners of the Earth bringing together many tribal leaders and international travelers. This documentary captures memorable narrations and photos by some of the conference planners and participants; Chester Kahn’s moving account of The Long Walk of the Navajo People and its correlation with Bahá’u’lláh’s exiles and sufferings at the same time in history; and Alfred Kahn Jr.’s explanation of how the Navajo Twin Brothers.
